I wanted to show my work in progress for this beautiful ring set with a sapphire. The sheet silver is first cut out by hand (with a jeweler's handsaw) as shown on the bottom left picture. The ring is then formed around a ring mandrel and then soldered. It is then hammered more to form the circle. The tube setting is then attached and the sapphire is set. The first picture (on the top left) is the ring in the raw state before it is polished.
