Inspired by the Ocean

My favorite thing to do in Florida is walk through the water's edge at the beach and look for shells with my daughter.

Inspired by the beach I have created some pieces that remind me of being there.

I love sitting at the beach. The ocean has a way of calming me.

Above are a couple of shells that I found at the beach at Pass-a-Grille. I sandcast the shells in sterling silver. They are made one at a time and handcast with recycled sterling silver. Below are two pieces created with the colors that you find in the ocean. The hoops are adorned with pearls and aquamarine and would look beautiful on a mermaid. The Mermaid necklace is handmade in sterling silver and had a cluster of beautiful pearls and aquamarines in different sizes.

This summer I plan to create more beach inspired pieces, so keep checking back to see what I find at the beach. I will be looking for more beautiful small shells.
