Featured Artist: Calan Ree

This ring is a collaboration with Artist, Calan Ree. She made the bunny out of air dry clay, glass eyes, acrylic paint and watercolor pencils.

She made it for my Ring a Day project which was wonderful of her to agree to make something small that I could create a ring for. I wanted to feature her Bunny with a small accent. I blackened the silver to continue the dark feeling that she creates with her amazing work.

"Calan’s work includes an ongoing comic that incorporates haiku entitled GingerDead and Friends which has run online for over 3 years and has branched off into an independent greeting card line. Calan takes her quirky style and gift for character creation and applies it to hand-formed polymer to create one-of-a-kind illustrated jewelry. Recently, Calan has revisited an old love for sculpture and immediately began creating figures and art dolls." (Quote from her website)
